Deep-tech hardware in healthcare is slow, capital-intensive, and unforgiving. A few honest lessons from building BIQADX from first principles.
Start from the constraint, not the product
The most useful decision we made early was to start every design from the hardest operating condition — no reliable power, no cold chain, no specialist operator — rather than from a feature list. When the constraint is the brief, the product that emerges is one that can actually reach people.
Be honest about stage
It is tempting to present prototypes as products and research as results. We chose the opposite: a development-stage label on every program, and an R&D status notice on every claim. Serious partners reward that honesty, because it tells them exactly what they are evaluating.
Protect the ideas, then talk about them
BIQADX has filed multiple Indian patents, including lead application No. 202531060831, filed and under examination. Securing the foundational IP is what lets us be open about the science without giving away the mechanism. The combination — protected, then transparent — is how a small team earns a hearing against incumbents many times its size.
BIQADX is a DPIIT-recognised deep-tech company founded by Arun Kumar and Dilranjan Kumar Patel, based in Bihar and New Delhi. We are at the beginning, and we would rather be trusted than impressive.
